Starmodul is a manufacturer of bolted joints for the construction of metal structures. These structures can be disassembled and are composed of bolted and galvanized parts. Whether for industrial work or for private projects, the system allows the construction of lightweight structures without the need for welding.

It is more economical because of the construction time, not because of the materials. Our houses have 75% of materials common to traditional houses. They only differ in the structure, enclosures and roofs, the rest are materials and finishes like traditional housing. This 25% that represents the StarModul system manages to reduce the cost of construction since it is a quick execution system. For example, the structure of a two-story house can be completed in 4 weeks.

The StarModul system can be used to build an infinite number of constructions, from an outdoor porch, to a warehouse, to a first floor or first floor + first floor dwelling. It is also a highly recommended system for building erections since it is a lightweight system that can be adapted to virtually any layout.

There is no limitation of exterior or interior finishes with our system.

Externally, we have the possibility of leaving the panel exposed, since these panels have a multitude of exterior finishes and colors or we can cover the facade with another material such as a SATE or a mechanically fixed porcelain tile.

Internally, it is usually finished with plasterboard cladding, but other finishes such as wood sandwich panels can also be used.

Our system has virtually no design limitations. Precisely this is a strength of our system, the construction of any design or shape. It is a very versatile system that, with the combination of different construction elements, can offer a great number of possibilities.

StarModul structures are fabricated from seamless pipes and joints made from hot-dipped galvanized steel in an electrolyte solution that contains zinc and uses electrolysis to create the coating on the steel. The zinc that coats the steel makes it more resistant to rust. Galvanized steel is better protected from water and humidity thanks to the zinc, creating a layer of zinc on the steel that prevents oxygen from reaching the iron, as this material does rust easily.

In addition, galvanized steel can last in perfect condition for more than 70 years, so its service life is very high. The quality-price ratio of this material is better than with other materials and does not require maintenance. Another of its advantages is that it is an environmentally friendly material since it can be recycled several times.

The external cladding of StarModul structures is made of sandwich panels, with two metallic faces and a rigid insulating core. They provide exceptional thermal insulation with minimum panel thickness, resulting in thermally efficient, highly durable walls and ceilings that guarantee watertightness with their tongue-and-groove joints. The panel is warranted for up to 25 years.

The StarModul construction system makes it possible to expand or remodel the layout of a house easily, since the panels can be easily disassembled and reused, and the structure, having screwed joints, can be unscrewed and adapted to another layout, provided that the stability of the whole is guaranteed by means of a structural calculation.

The advantages of building with galvanized steel square section pipes are that they are more durable than steel and do not require painting for corrosion protection since they are already factory treated. In addition, it is a much lighter material, which facilitates assembly and eliminates the need for auxiliary machinery to lift the structural elements.

The panels used for the exterior cladding of StarModul structures are immune to attack by fungi, molds and other biological deteriorating agents. Neither the insulating core of the panel nor the galvanized steel absorbs water, maintaining its thermal performance throughout its useful life.

The sandwich panels used as exterior cladding have a fire performance of Bs1,D0. (B: hardly combustible; s1: very limited smoke generation; s0: no flammable droplet fallout)

StarModul structures meet the requirements of the CTE-DB-SI (fire resistance of structures).

The fire resistance of a main structural element of the building (floors, beams and supports) is considered to be sufficient if it reaches the time in minutes of fire resistance to the action represented by the normalized time-temperature curve. In the case of dwellings, the structural elements guarantee a resistance of R30 and R90 in the case of garages. In the construction of semi-detached dwellings, it is guaranteed that the separation between dwellings complies with R60.
