No. We use galvanized steel: the zinc protects the steel from corrosion. The outer sandwich panel is watertight, and the home is covered by the statutory building guarantees (in Spain, those of the LOE: 1 year for finishes, 3 years for habitability and 10 years for the structure).
No. Neither the galvanized steel nor the panel's insulating core absorbs water, and they are resistant to fungi, mold, and other biological agents.
The panels have a fire reaction classification of B-s2,d0. The structure is protected in accordance with the Technical Building Code using specific gypsum board linings (R30 in residential units and R90 in garages).
